We currently have a vacancy for a Commercial Relationship Manager at Shinhan Bank Canada, located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Overall relationship management with Commercial Banking clients – ability to identify and develop quality relationships with customers and external referral resources to generate demand for Banking products/ services

  • Meet business objectives by negotiating and executing the Bank’s business plan

  • Contribute to the success of business results – that include improving and increasing the Bank’s profitability through relationship building with existing and prospective customers

  • Proactively market, promote and sell the Bank’s products and services

  • Work collaboratively with the various teams in retain/commercial banking  – including Branch Managers

  • Manage client relationships as a trusted advisor by providing value added advice and solutions that appropriately match client needs

  • Risk Management – including but not limited to; credit risk, operational risk, and financial crime (Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering) risk

  • Drive Shinhan Bank’s strategic objective to become the leading Schedule II Bank in Canada

  • Work in partnership with colleagues across the Bank’s network to deliver exceptional standards and quality of service

  • Oversee clients’ inquiries and concerns to ensure an excellent customer experience


 

Qualifications:
  • Experience working in financial services, real estate or a related field - 5+ years of experience in commercial lending is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of bank products and services - credit and commercial lending techniques and procedures.

  • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills – ability to work as part of a team, and individually.

  • Sound knowledge of financial analysis, risk evaluation, loan documentation and commercial loan structures.

  • Experience analyzing and structuring commercial credit

  • Ability to generate new business, identify business opportunities and grow and maintain existing client relationships.

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field required

  • Graduate degree - MBA, preferred.

  • CFA designation, preferred.

  • Fluency in both English and Korean language is considered an asset.
