Assistant Manager, Financial Services

The Assistant Manager, Financial Services supports the advancement of our Bank’s market position, financial growth and presence in the community. The successful candidate will leverage his/her mortgage expertise, knowledge of mortgage administration and a strong understanding of the market and lead the team (Credit Analysts and Financial Services Associates) to ensure that the Bank is able to develop strong relationships with clients and a positive customer experience. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the team responsible for the preparation and management of loan applications, approvals, funding, legal documentation and other loan accounting processes for file with high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Identify leading edge tactics to generate leads and build a pipeline of mortgage business
  • Manage post administration of commercial loans such as renewals and reviews
  • Follow up on inquiries and file management to ensure accurate and thorough file preparation
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Bank’s campaigns, products, services and distribution channels that lead to increase in sales
  • Assist the Branch Manager in managing day-to-day operations at the Branch
  • Manage the supervision and training of employees to ensure a smooth process for residential and commercial credit functions
  • Support the sales team plan that has been developed to lead to the achievement of client sales targets
  • Understand and provide insight to business development efforts to build client portfolio and turn this into increased business
  • Manage the reports that analyze performance against forecasts and sales targets
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
  • Additional duties as deemed necessary

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial institution
  • Independent, self-managed professionals who are ambitious and target driven with a proven sales track record
  • Strong capabilities to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional, Driven, High integrity sales oriented individual
  • Strong research skills, market knowledge, analytical thinking and able to present clear, effective action plans
  • Fluent in both English and Korean
  • Korean cultural knowledge is an asset
